Do I need to paint or seal this hive kit? No. This wax-dipped hive kit comes ready to place in your bee yard.
What grade of lumber are the hive kits made from? Pura hive bodies & supers are made from select- and commercial-grade pine. There will be occasional tight knots, though not in structurally integral locations (i.e., joints, handles, frame rests).
How much beeswax is coated on the frames? Our hive and super kits come pre-installed with double-waxed frames.
Is assembly required? No. The hive kit comes ready to go, right out of the box.
