What grade of lumber is used in your frames? We use only select-grade eastern white pine for our unassembled and assembled frames.
What is the cell size of Puracell foundation? 5.3mm, which is standard-sized.
Does Puracell foundation have more cells? Puracell has up to 10% more cells per sheet than standard foundation. This is due to its 36% thinner cell wall, not a smaller cell size.
How many coats of wax are on the single-waxed foundation? One.
Does the wax contain 100% beeswax? Yes, the wax coat contains 100% pure capping beeswax — the freshest beeswax available. There are no additives in our wax.

Our frame is built with only the highest quality, select-grade white pine available. A 3/4” top bar and 1/2” bottom bar provide a sturdy structure for repeated inspections and extractions.
No corners cut.
Every inch of our frame is precisely milled and chamfered to assist the beekeeper. Rounded top-bar tabs and beveled end bars make for stress-free assembly, installation, and extraction.
Robust design.
A center leg on the frame’s bottom corner provides structural rigidity and 40% more gluing surface area than standard frames. All corners are secured with Hivebond™ 4000 wood glue and six staples to support the strongest frame in beekeeping.
